About the Founder

I am Mikayla Brown, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a deep passion for creating meaningful change in the lives of individuals with special needs. As the founder of Hope Bridge Foundation, I built this nonprofit to be more than just a support service—it is a movement designed to bridge the often-overlooked gap between adolescence and adulthood for neurodivergent individuals.

With years of experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA), I have witnessed firsthand how early intervention can shape a child's trajectory. However, I also saw a critical need for continued support as these individuals grow older. Many young people with developmental challenges face barriers in learning essential life skills—skills that are key to gaining independence, maintaining employment, and avoiding the risk of homelessness.

Hope Bridge Foundation was born from the belief that no one should age out of care without a bridge to the next stage of life. Through our programs, we use evidence-based ABA strategies to teach real-world life skills—from money management and job readiness to social communication and daily routines. We partner with families, schools, and communities to ensure that every individual has the tools they need to thrive—not just survive.

Our mission is to create a lasting impact by empowering neurodiverse individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives and helping society understand that support doesn’t stop at childhood. Together, we are building bridges to brighter futures.

Our Mission

Hope Bridge Foundation exists to empower neurodiverse individuals by advancing equitable access to learning, independence, and meaningful community participation. Grounded in evidence-based practice and informed by educational psychology, our mission is to bridge the gap between childhood, adolescence, and adulthood through individualized life skills development, early intervention, family education, and community-based supports. We strive to reduce barriers to independence, employment, and long-term well-being by promoting an understanding of how individuals learn, develop, and thrive. Through interdisciplinary collaboration, research-informed programming, and compassionate advocacy, we are committed to fostering lifelong learning, dignity, self-determination, and opportunities for every individual to reach their fullest potential.
